B.A. in Law and LLM (First Class Honours)

This IvyPrep strategist graduated with a B.A in Law. and Masters in Law (LLM) from University of Cambridge. He has a professional specialisation in international relations, politics and government, and intelligence. He has a strong personal interest in analytical and creative writing, music, and debating. He won the Golden Point Award (Short Story) in 2019 and was the best speaker at the World Universities Debating Championships in 2015.

B.A. in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics

This IvyPrep strategist graduated with First Class Honours from University of Oxford, with a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. He also holds a Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University and a Master of Public Policy from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore.

While studying, he worked at various organisations including the Singapore Government, socio-political website The Middle Ground, political campaigns, a non-profit good governance group in New York, and in the office of a New York State Senator. He would be happy to share about his experiences and tell you about the things he wished he knew before university and starting work.

Alan graduated magna cum laude on a Singapore Government Scholarship from the University of Pennsylvania, with a BSc in Economics with a minor in History, and a Masters in Computer and Information Technology.

Alan enjoys working at the intersection of public policy and technology. He is currently a Senior Product Manager at the GovTech Singapore, where he builds technology products and platforms for public good. Prior to this, he was a Cyber Threat Analyst at the Cyber Security Agency, where he worked on strategic initiatives to defend Singapore’s cyberspace. He also represented Singapore as a Delegate at the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

Alan is passionate about helping students discover new interests and expand their horizons through a deeper appreciation of the world around them.
