Matthias Chia

Matthias graduated from University of Pennsylvania with four degrees in four years - BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics, BSc in Economics, MA in Philosophy and Master of Computer and Information Technology. A SAF Overseas Scholar, Matthias contributed to the military's cyber security development through projects such as setting up of the Defence Cyber Organisation and building cyber security teams to safeguard Singapore's interests.

Matthias is currently Head of Strategic Partnerships at DART - a cyber security start up helping build cyber capacity for government agencies and large enterprises.

Matthias has mentored students with varying academic interests and passions along their college applications journey. By leveraging his college and professional experiences, he aims not only to help students put forward their best selves in their applications, but also provide useful tools that will help them succeed beyond college.

Aaron Aubrey Ng

BEng in Engineering, University College London
MSc in Management Science and Engineering, Stanford University

Aaron was awarded the SAF Merit Scholarship, graduated from University College London (UCL) with a Bachelor of Engineering (First Class) and has a Master of Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University.

Aaron got his professional start in the Singapore Armed Forces as a Military Intelligence Officer. He concluded 12 years of Active Duty in 2019 and has served in multiple Command Appointments in classified Intelligence Units, and garnered staff experience in the areas of Strategic Planning and Policy Development. Currently, he is a Strategic Threat Advisor at Crowdstrike and is responsible for the company's Threat Intelligence business across Asia-Pacific. As a Security Evangelist, Aaron frequently speaks at Security Conferences, sharing insights into the latest threat trends and developments.

Aaron dedicates much of his free time to mentoring the youth in Singapore. Having personally benefited from numerous meaningful mentorship initiatives, Aaron hopes to do the same for the generations that follow.
